Revue of DEADPOOL 2

Deadpool 2 is the second coming of our favorite wisecracking mercenary Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) who battles the evil and powerful Cable (Josh Brolin) and other bad guys to save a boy’s life.

I entertained some skepticism when I was going to see this film. Even though the trailer of the film showed a lot of promise, we all know how 2nd installments can be. However, it took all of 2 minutes of the film starting for my doubt to go out the window.  Deadpool 2 was absolutely amusing! It was lewd, annoying, shocking and sometimes absolutely disgusting. No one was spared from the sharp tongue of Deadpool, not Deadpool (or Ryan Reynolds) not Marvel or Disney not even DC! Everyone had a good tongue lashing.

The most surprising thing about this film was that it managed to have a pretty decent storyline. I expected Deadpool will have a shitty plot but the plot wasn’t half bad and they even managed to bring out the soft side of Deadpool and they even gave him a crew (if we can call that sham of an assembly a crew). Josh Brolin is having one helluva year what with Avengers being a hit and now this! He was a worthy adversary and handled his role with finesse.

Oh! I have to mention that the post credit scene in Deadpool 2 is the Best. Post. Credit. Scene. Ever. I am not exaggerating when I say this post credit scene made good all that has ever been wrong with super hero movies, I don’t want to spoil it for you but I am sure that you will not remain the same when you see that scene. PS. They are 2 post credit scenes so sit your butt down and go nowhere until the lights come on.

Its not everyday you see a sequel that is equally as good as the first installment but I am definitely going back for a second helping of Deadpool 2. I will be giving out free tickets to some lucky people to join me so leave your comment below with your social media handle and you could be one of the lucky people. But I am curious to hear what you think so hit me on social media  (Twitter and Facebook ) and let me know what you think of Deadpool 2.

Thanks for always dropping in on my blog, I truly appreciate it.

Be awesome!

The Maveriq

  2. Deadpool advert seems really boring to me. I hope the movie is as interesting as you say

  3. 2 mins to get you to change your mind- fantastic!

Will love to see the movie with you.

PS: I typed an essay earlier but can’t see it May be it’s still awaiting approval, just thought to comment again.

  4. Your mind was changed within just two minutes? That must be fantastic. I liked the Manchester Deadpool ad that aired a week before the movie was out and also the David Beckham ad, I thought that was ingenious. Will love to see the movie with you. @mborealty @missbiso

  5. Deadpool was really amusing and entertaining and yes! Full of so much disgust … To think that we are going to see more of that in this 2nd installment, am excited in Anticipation. Thank you for the info on the post credit scene, I would have missed out – usually run out of the cinema once the first line of end credits starts to show.

  6. Really looking forward to seeing this. Been avoiding reviews but when I saw the offer of a free ticket I had to ask myself… What woywo Deadpool do? Lmao anyways fingers crossed. Twitter handle is @opefas
