Star Wars: The Last Jedi follows the story of Rey (Daisy Ridley) as she locates Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and attempts to revive the Jedi Order while Leia Organa leads one final standoff against the Empire.

You see ehn, these Star Wars guys have got it right! They have somehow managed a balance between the old Star Wars and the new generation. They have accomplished keeping the older fans interested by bringing back beloved characters like Chewbacca,  Leia, Master Yoda and even Admiral Ackbar while easing in the new generation such as Kylo Ren, Rey and Finn. This installment in the Star Wars franchise is a perfect blend of what films strive to achieve- it answers some age-old questions while forging new alliances and developing new characters … and all is right in the world.

I honestly felt weird seeing Carrie Fisher reprise her role as our beloved Leia…it was quite sad knowing that we won’t see her reprise this role but I was satisfied with the way her character was treated. There were no melodramatic scenes (like the Fast & Furious film) but the producers allowed her character advance typically and you cannot understand the level of satisfaction I felt seeing Leia and Luke together one more time. Ehen, shey we have always suspected that Leia has the force even though we have never seen her wield it? Well, that question was answered in the Last Jedi, and believe me, it will leave you with so much glee. Ehen, talking about stuff we suspected, we have also suspected that Luke Skywalker is a bad ass, but  believe me when I say you aren’t ready for the level of his badassery, so be on the lookout for his “dirt of your shoulder scene”.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is one of my best films this year and I will definitely recommend that everyone go see it, but I must warn you, if you are one of those posers who like to pretend like they dig Star Wars, Star Trek and the likes just to go with the tide and be politically correct, don’t bother-  just jejely Crip-walk to the next screen to watch The Wedding Party and save yourself distress. For my geeks and Star Wars fans, why not buy your movie ticket HERE? Because you get to jump the queue. Afterwards, lets meet on Twitter or Facebook to talk about it, cos y’all know I like to talk Star Wars.

Allow me to sound like Master Yoda when I say, Star Wars: The Last Jedi – A good film, it is!

Have a great today.
