Honestly, when I saw the trailer for this compilation, I was skeptical because skits in cinemas is not something that we are used to in these parts. I expected that it was going to be cheeky sketches that will struggle for laughs and that’s exactly what it was.

You see ehn, there are some materials that make for a good stand-up show but aren’t as funny when they are adapted for the screen. Furthermore, there were spoofs that were so predictable because they are clichéd jokes that we have heard millions of times with some of them being no different than what you may have bumped into on Instagram.

That said, I must admit that some of the sketches were pretty funny and Sunday and Lolade share congruence and I feel this may just be the beginning of something great. I applaud their audacity and courage to bring their sketches to the big screen. I never deride humble beginnings and I look forward to seeing more of their production - maybe in a full length movie. One thing they should ditch sha is their names. SNL is already associated with Saturday Night Live and they cannot wrest that name from them, so maybe they should get creative and come up with a catchy name for themselves; they can even use their real names just as Key and Peel do

Sunday and Lolade is a decent comedic quickie and garners 4.5/10 on my awesome-o-metre.

Have a great day today![/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id="Videos"][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text="WATCH OFFICIAL TRAILER HERE" use_theme_fonts="yes"][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_video link="" el_width="70"][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height="35px"][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
